Koh Lanta, Krabi - Part 1

Sawadeeka~ 

Ended my internship and decided to have a small getaway with 3 bffs to Koh Lanta, Krabi! First found out the deals on expedia.com.my and got a shock of my life after realized its so freaking cheap! Flight + Hotel for 4 days 3 nights only cost us RM 300 per person!! Inclusive of flight tickets, 2 rooms and breakfasts! As for AirAsia insurance and baggage, each of us chip in another RM40 to check in one luggage both ways because we can't carry liquid items on board. And taxi fees for both ways from Subang to LCCT is RM45 per person. So we only paid around RM400 for the trip! CHEAP OR NOT?! You'll find super awesome great deals on Expedia so go and check it now!

Had been planning to go Krabi ever since last year and I'm so excited once I book everything with Expedia. I booked one month beforehand and i keep on counting days to have this getaway at last! Totally deserved the rest after 3 months of internships!

Koh Lanta, Krabi Trip - 01.04.2013 -- 04.04.2013

Flying with Air Asia. 7am flight can be pain on the ass. SLEEPEHHH!

We stayed at Twin Bay Resort which is located at Koh Lanta, Krabi. Around 2 and half hour journey from Krabi Airport. Need to pass 2 ferries like those we use to go Penang. Doesn't enjoy the ride though. We choose mini vans for both ways, to and fro cause it's cheaper than taxis. We were all so exhausted throughout the 2 hours ride and feel like not going back to Lanta anymore in our life. UNTIL, we reach Lanta and our resort. We totally take back what we had said. It was a paradise there! I'm so glad I found this resort! The check in time suppose to be 2pm but once we reach, they already checked us in. The staffs are all nice peoples!

RECOMMEND ANYONE WHO IS PLANNING TO GO KRABI! Twin Bay Resort!!! 

Remember I said we got 2 rooms? Because we got 4 people so I asked them for single bed rooms. But end up, we don't even need two rooms! Because they gave us 2 family rooms! One room can accommodate 4 people! So we left one room empty and just sleep in one. Super spacious and comfy! One you step into the room, you will be greeted by smell of lemons and limes! Super refreshing!

We were all hungry and so we put our luggage in and rushed out to town for lunch. Just ask for Tuk-Tuk from the reception and by 5 minutes, a Tuk-Tuk will arrived to pick you up! 50 baht per person per trip. So 200 baht for 4 of us to Saladan Town!

Cinderella Fruit Punch and San Fransico (Pineapple + Coconut Milk)

Had some shopping because I need a pair of slippers and SF need to buy Bikinis LOL. Negotiate is a MUST at Thailand! Bought my slipper for 100 baht while SF got 2 Bikinis for 600 baht! Reasonable! Ian got himself a sunglasses for 300 baht.

Went back after lunch and faster change into our swimsuit! Beach and pool time :DD

Very peaceful and quiet beach with super duper fine like powder sands. 

 The beach is just right in front of our resort so its kinda like a private beach for the guests :D

Time passed like a snail in Lanta. Because the time 1 hour behind Malaysia, so I really feel as if we gain an extra hour! Mad love! Whenever its 5pm in Lanta, it already feels like 7pm in Malaysia because the sky turns darker earlier than Malaysia. We keep forget about the timezone throughout the whole trip. Loving the relax and slow pace life there.

Went for swim at the pool! All my 3 companions know how to swim. EXCEPT ME! :( So sad that I don't have the confident to swim. Sigh.. I can only walk and jump in the pool while looking at them swim.

See they so enjoy! My swimming instructor for 2 hours, Steve! Hahaha

 Initially I wanna walk to the bar but then got stopped by a woman, who asked whether I wanna learn diving or not, and its FREE! I look at her and say i don't know how to swim, but she insisted that i do not need to know how to swim. So I dragged the other 3 of them along. They learn diving while I learn swimming! Hahaha. But with life jackets. At least I know how to float now X_X

 It was a fun experience though for 4 of us. Something new. Breathing using oxygen tank. And spitting into our googles to avoid fogging. New knowledge LOL.

 Night finally comes and we had Barbecue by the beach in our resort! Super delicious grilled foods like port fillet, chicken fillet, potatoes, squid and mussels!  The mango shake was super good!

Went out to Saladan town again to buy universal adapter and sign for a 4 Island Trip for Day 3! Went back our resort and start playing poker. I think we will bored die if we didn't brought the poker cards along. Thats basically our daily night routine before off to bed. Pillow talks as well! Then by 12am, all of us fall into deep slumber.... Goodnight!

The late CNY

It had almost been a month since Chinese New Year but I can only have the chance to update my blog due to my busy internship! Got a few major events on hand and finally I can rest awhile before more events come! Here is a short update on my CNY before my stats for this blog drop drastically o(╥﹏╥)o

Had my very first CNY dinner with colleagues from Jireh Consult @ Le Meridien Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Not the best but the ladies had fun :D Planned some mini games to play along while waiting for our food. All my inspirations came from Running Man seriously. Hahaha.

Early Lao Shang. HUAT ARHHH!

Went back to Subang immediately on the Friday after work and leave for TAIPING! Thanks to my together hungry chinggu, Yong Tin and her uncle for fetching me along and dropped me at Taiping's toll while they on their way back to their hometown! 

Visited my baby boy at Subang, Ah Yat! One fierce dog yet damn manja at times.

 Once reached, rush to my aunt's house to visit her!!

Happily went home and saw what my Dad did to my house. EVERY SINGLE YEAR WITHOUT FAIL. Hahaha. I remember some of my friends even said my house looks like temple. Oh wells. My dad's hobby! Hehehe. He enjoyed decorating my house very much.

By the 29th of lunar calendar (no 30th this year), Mum ordered me to prepare stuffs for prayers! I'm the creative director in the house. LOL. Kononnya. Decorating the fruits with stickers! Damn lonely cause normally my 2nd sis will be around to help me, but she had missed CNY for the 5th times ever since she joined SIA. *Sigh*

What kind of design this year?

 Finally its the first day of CNY! Went to my Grandpa's house at Kampung Pokok Asam. Met my cousins and uncles and aunties! Family reunion yay! I normally only met them once a year. LOL. So time is very precious when I'm around them!

My Grandpa decided to invite the lion dance this year because he win some kachings in lottery before CNY! Totally hype up the CNY vibe!

 My luck seriously damn char. Didn't win any money at all. Lose a little. But whats more important is the times being with them!! One of the closest bunch of friends I had ever since secondary school! 

Jeff win so much that he decided to use the money (mostly from Ian) to treat us McDonald! Me and CS went out to tapao for them. Went home around 4am that day lol (After my dad called.)

BFF for years! Always there when I need them. Blessed :3

Paid my godfather and godmother a visit before back to KL! In love with my niece! I called him Baby Kiam (salty in Hokkien) because his name is Sien (salty in Mandarin). Super cute and smells good hahahahaha. 

I wanna play!!

Okay. I'm tired already.

 Babies are so cute because they are all so innocent. But not until they learn to talk. Haha. By next year I see him again, he must be all grow up and can walk already!

Went back to KL and starts to work on Valentines Day! And here is my #foreveralone dinner. HAHAHA.

Finally had the chance to taste the famous Boston Baru Lala and Butter Lai Liu Har.  Its so mother freaking delicious! My mouth waters whenever I think of it now （人´∀`*）

Genting Highland YAY

The last time I step my foot on Genting was when I had my trip with Soh Poz during Form 4. Almost 4 years never went there and listening to the name of Genting makes me EXCITED! Since my college mates wanted to go there for our Dodo Running Man, and my two beloved Ladies, Mun and Ying are currently working at there, hence I'm MOREEEE excited to go because I will be with 2 of my closest groups of friends for 3 Days 2 Nights! Up up here we go!

26 - 27 Dec 

We rented 2 taxis who happens to be Mango's uncle and departed around 10am? It only took us like 1 hour and 15 minutes to reach there from Sri Petaling. Was so hyper when its almost halfway there. The taxi uncle decided to off the aircond in the car and rolled down the sexy window *refers to Simon from EatYourKimchi*. LOL There was when I can finally feel the cooooooling and refreshing air of Genting! Don't you think thats the best best parts of all?!

While waiting for check-in to Highland Hotel (we got super generous Miss Annie, Mum of our twins Shih Wei and Shih Ee who use her card points to exchange 2 rooms for us! Thank you again!), we loitered around First World Hotel :D

 After we checked in, we rested for awhile and DODO RUNNING MAN EPISODE 3 to start! Me and Shih Wei were the organizers this time :D I'm in charge of the mini games while he is the main person behind our final battle! Heh. I didn't take much photos during the game session because I'm too busy so please check out Jammie's blog for more detail updates!

Oh and another mini game which required each team to send out one representative to go play the indoor roller coaster and at the same time apply lipstick! Mwahaha I'm an evil organizer...

 I will never forget about our last battle.. The name-tag-tearing session. Me and Wei walk almost half the Genting to find the most suitable place to play. We can't play indoor cause its very dangerous.. Hence we end up playing at the carpark in front of Highland Hotel. Super great place cause its so foggy that night. It added the kan-cheongness into the game as we release team by team into the carpark and the BATTLE BEGINS! While in the process of tearing their opponents name tags, they must also find the 15 cars plate numbers we had send them earlier to complete the mission. Hahaha but in the end, thanks to Jam's superpower (everyone was granted a superpower which they did not know until someone tear their name tags), it turn 360 Degree. He had make everyone to be dismissed from their group and its now *jeng jeng jeng* INDIVIDUAL GAME!  Everyone is enemy now! lol like a chi-kek. All kind of violences were displayed throughout the night X__X

Was dead tired after running a lot, LIKE A LOT my god but after bath, we were all refreshed so we went to KFC for supper !! That's the awesome part of Genting. You can loiter around enjoying your cotton candy and cool air even during wee hours. Then.. around 4am, all of us went to bed like a dead pig.. Or maybe only me..

27 - 28 Dec

All of them went back to KL the next day except me, cause I'm waiting for the arrival of my LADIES! Cyndi, Xuan and Wei May came all the way from Taiping by bus while SF came from KL. Meet up with 4 of them and bid goodbye to my college mates. Another day of awesomenesssss!!!! Our main plan was to give Mun and Ying a surprise!! We checked in to First World Hotel which was super duper small compare to Highland Hotel, but no complain!

We chilled for awhile while waiting for Ying and Mun finish work. At first they two ask me to meet up only at night, so all of us become kelam-kabut until I have to come up with stupid excuse to make them meet me right after they finish work. They only know I'm at Genting but not the 4 other girls! So we all sit at Burger King and I wait them outside of BK. Once i meet them I tell them I'm sibeh hungry so I dragged them to BK. The most epic moment was when Mun and Ying trying to introduce me what to eat, Mun suddenly look to the right and say "Eh, how come that girl look like Cyndi?" I can't control anymore and I burst laughing hahahahahaha. And thats how the Ladies reunited after so long! But no Siew Mei la cause she busy with finals.

Snow World here we come!

We went to buy tickets for Snow World and heh, thats one precious time to remember! Malaysia don't snow but thanks to the newly renovated Snow World, all of us can experience snow together :') It's so much pretty and big now compare to last time! I even make a snow angel :D

 One thing I hate about Genting is the FOOD! =___=" All of them were so freaking mother father expensive. We need to search for many many restaurants before settle down because its totally out of our budget! But luckily we found one! Nyonya Colours at FWH!! Price is totally reasonable and super big portion! Plus, VERY VERY TASTY :D

We manage to do some shopping cause of the Tangs fair at the ballroom. Almost all of us got a pair of shoes there hahaha.

Happy times really FLIES~ Mun and Ying were too tired after their training plus our surprise visit, so they need to go back to their hostel and SLEEP~

The next day.. All of us need to go back to reality ;__; Ying and Mun came and send us off after their training. Bid goodbyes to my ladies who going back to Taiping too. Left me and SF who were going back to KL.. The bus was terrible horrible king kong table. SO HOT AND DIRTY AND DISGUSTING. Uakk! No more next time!
